With a slogan ‘Vision 2020’, Department of Pharma plans to invest around Rs.50,000 to Rs.60,000 million every year till 2020 with help from private sectors or with  public-private partnership. It aims to strengthen CRAMS (contract and research manufacturing) and drug discovery. Its objective is to make India in the top five  pharma discovery hub – and take 50% share in drug discoveries.
