Teckbond Laboratories to expand its bulk drug unit in Anantharam village in Jinnaram Mandal in Medak district of Andhra Pradesh with an investment of Rs. 513 million. The expanded unit will produce Amlodipine Besylate, Sparfloxacin, Olanzapine, Topiramate, Montelukast Sodium, Loratadine, Valsartan, Clopidogrel Hydrogensulfate, Gabapentin etc., and will have a total capacity of 24 mtpa.

Varahi Pharma to set up bulk drug unit in Hindupur

Varahi Pharma is to set up a bulk drug manufacturing unit in Hindupur Growth Centre in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh with an investment of Rs. 32.9 million. The project involves setting up of a pharma unit to produce Amlodipine Besylate, Clopidogrelbysulphate, Lamivudine, Olmesartan, Levo cetrizine di HCl, Losartan Potassium, Montelukast, Turbinafin, Valsartan etc.,

Flamingo Pharmaceuticals to set up new facility in Nanded SEZ

Flamingo Pharmaceuticals is setting up a state-of-the-art pharma plant in Nanded SEZ in Maharashtra with an investment of Rs. 1448 million. The project is expected to go operational by mid 2012. Currently, the company is present in antibiotics and antipyretic segments and exports much of its produce. The plant is being built to meet USFDA/UKMHRA specifications.

Jubliant Life Sciences plans new facility for manufacturing Symtet

Jubliant Life Sciences is setting up a manufacturing plant to produce Symtet - also called 2,3,5,6-Tetra Chloro Pyridine and Chlorinated Pyridine derivatives of 5,000 TPA at Bhaurch SEZ. Symtet is used in the manufacturing of Chlorpyrifos, one of the world's largest and safest, low-cost insecticide. The project is likely to go operational in 2012. The company has disclosed that this project forms a part of its Rs. 3500 million expansion programme
