Anupam Rasayan to expand its bulk drug unit at Sachin in Surat in Gujarat with an investment of Rs. 30 million. The expansion details of the new unit are as follows.

The existing unit has two Baby Boilers of 400 kg/hr each. There are two Thermopack Units of 400 U each. One new boiler of 1 T/hr capacity will be installed. About 30,000 m3/month of Natural Gas is used as fuel which will increase by another 30,000 m3/month after change in product mix.
Swati Spentose to set up bulk drug unit at Valsad in Vapi district of Gujarat. The following 9 (nine) Bulk Drugs will be produced with in-house developed process:

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals to expand bulk drug unit at Ankleshwar in Bharuch district in Gujarat with an investment of Rs. 438 million. The proposed expansion will be carried out at its existing premises and will use 50 acres. It plans to manufacture 71 drugs.
BMS Chemie to set up bulk drug unit at Ekalbara, Padra in Vadodara with an investment of Rs. 15 million. The details of products and production capacity for the existing and proposed Bulk drugs are as given below:
